It was many and many years ago.
In kingdom the sea.
That a maiden there lived whom you may know.
By the name of Annabel Lee;
And this maiden she lived with no other thought.
Than to love and be loved by me.
I was a child, she was a child,
In this kingdom by the sea,
But we loved with a love that was more than love,
I and my Annabel Lee with a love that he winged seraphs of Heaven.
And this was the reason that long ago.
In this kingdom by the sea.
A wind blew out of a cloud,
chilling my beautiful Annabel Lee;
So that her high-born kinsman
came.. and born her away from me...
To shut her up in a sepulchre
In this kingdom by the sea.
The angels, not half so happy in heaven,
Went envying her and we;
Yes! - that was the reason.
That the wind came out of a cloud by night.
Chilling and killing my Annabel Lee.
But our love it was stronger by far than the love.
Of those who were older than we, of many far wiser than we;
And neither the angels in haven above,
Nor demons down under the sea.
Can ever dissever my soul from the soul...

me dreams of the beautiful Annabel Lee;
And the stars never rise, but I feel the bright eyes.

In her sepulchre by the sea,
In her tomb by the sounding sea....
오래고 또 오럔 옛날
바닷가 어느 왕국에
애너벨 리 라는 이름을 가진
한 소녀가 살고 있었다.
이 소녀가 오직 한결같이 생각한 것은
나와 사랑하고 사랑받는 일.
그녀도 어렸고 나도 어렷다,
바닷가 이 왕국에서.
그러나 우리는 사랑 이상의 사랑으로 사랑했다--
나와 나의 애너벨 리는----
하늘의 날개달린 천사들도
그녀와 나를 부러워햇던 사랑으로.
그 때문이었다, 오래 전에
바닷가 이 왕국에서
밤에 구름으로 부터 불어 온 바람이
나의 애너벨 리를 싸늘하게 만들었다.
그래서 그녀의 지체 높은 친척들이 찾아와서
그녀를 내게서 데려가서는
바닷가 이 왕국에 있는
무덤에 가두어 버렸다.
절반만큼도 행복하지 못한 하늘의 천사들
그녀와 나를 시기하였다.
그렇다! 그러기에 (누구나 다 알고 있듯,
바닷가 이 왕국에서)
구름으로부터 바람이 불어 와
나의 에너벨 리를 싸늘히 죽였다.
그러나 우리의 사랑, 그것은 훨씬 더 강했다.
우리보다 나이 많은 이들의 사랑보다도---
우리보다 아주 지혜로운 많은 이들의 사랑보다도---
그래서 하늘의 천사들도
바다 밑의 악마들도
나의 영혼을 떼어 놓을 수는 없다.
아름다운 애너벨 리의 영혼으로부터.
달빛 맑을 떼면 언제나 나의 꿈 속엔
아름다운 애너벨 리의 모습이 나타나고,
별들 떠오를 때면 언제나 나는
애너벨 리의 아름다운 빛나는 눈을 본다.
그러기에 밤이 새도록 나는 누워 있다.
나의 사랑. 나의 사랑, 나의 생명, 나으 신부 곁에.
거기 바닷가 근의 무덤에서------
